examining the relationship between several shade structures and the unique landscape of antelope island, this project inverts traditional notions of the way we view the built versus natural environment by imbuing the architecture with movement, rhythm, and transformation, all qualities we ascribe to living systems, thus evoking questions around the differences in the timescales of human construction and a landscape millions of years in the making.
